NATO has not released this STANAG publicly. It is NATO UNCLASSIFIED, and organisations that need it obtain it through their national standardization authority.
What it is
STANAG 4564 is the NATO agreement on warship electronic chart display and information systems (WECDIS). Edition 3, sponsored by DPC, DPC, CaP2, was promulgated on 13 April 2017, and it covers the publication ANP-4564 edition A.
NATO has not released STANAG 4564 publicly, so this page describes it from two public NATO publications that cite it, AGeoP-14 and AGeoP-19.
Where it is cited
Both publications name WECDIS, as STANAG 4564 defines it, as a system for which a NATO geospatial data product is mandated. AGeoP-14 states that "AML+ as defined in this AGeoP is a mandated product for WECDIS as defined in STANAG 4564." AGeoP-19, the publication that STANAG 7170 on Additional Military Layers (AML) covers, says the same of AML and adds that AML "is recognised as a core requirement for NATO maritime geospatial requirements". Its glossary lists WECDIS as "Warship Electronic Chart Display and Information System (NATO STANAG 4564)".
STANAG 7170 lists STANAG 4564 among its related documents, next to IHO S-57, S-100 and S-52. AGeoP-14 lists it among its references alongside STANAG 7170, STANAG 2592 and STANAG 2586. None of these publications describes what STANAG 4564 itself requires of a WECDIS.
