What it is
STANAG 2402 is the NATO agreement on danger areas for land-launched unmanned aerial vehicles for use by NATO forces operating in a ground environment on military ranges. Edition 2 was promulgated on 17 January 1997, sponsored by MC, MCLSB, NRS, DSP. NATO has not released STANAG 2402 publicly, so this page describes it from the Czech defence standards index instead.

The Czech defence standards index (oos-data.army.cz) lists ČOS 155001 as implementing STANAG 2402 edition 2; its title translates as areas endangered by unmanned aerial vehicles that launch from ground launch equipment. The index entry's description says the standard establishes methods, used within the armies of NATO member states, for determining the danger areas where NATO unmanned vehicles launch from ground launch equipment on firing ranges, including methods for evaluating the associated risks. The index entry is a one-paragraph description, not the full national standard, so this page goes no further than that.
