STANAG 2497 covers AEP-45, NATO's reference manual on CBRN warning, reporting and hazard prediction. NATO has not released it publicly; a public NATO publication that cites it says it is primarily for automated CBRN command information systems.

NATO has not released this STANAG publicly. It is NATO UNCLASSIFIED, and organisations that need it obtain it through their national standardization authority.
What it is
STANAG 2497 is the NATO Standardization Agreement that covers AEP-45 edition E, the reference manual for warning, reporting and hazard prediction of chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) incidents. Edition 6 was promulgated on 27 August 2018, sponsored by the MC, MCJSB, JCBRND CDG committee. NATO has not released STANAG 2497 publicly, so this page describes it from AEDP-02, a public NATO publication that cites it.
Where it is cited
AEDP-02, a public NATO publication, places STANAG 2497 alongside STANAG 2103. It states, "STANAG 2103 specifies the operational view of the manual portion of the CBRN Warning and Reporting and Hazard Prediction function with respect to simplified and detailed procedures while STANAG 2497 is primarily for automated CBRN Command Information Systems (CIS)." AEDP-02 adds that it "will be used by system designers and software engineers, acquisition program managers, system architecture instructors for the operational users, and a variety of persons engaged in research and development activities", and that it "provides reference material that support STANAG 2103 but it is not used on a daily basis by the warfighter."
