NATO has not released this STANAG publicly. It is NATO UNCLASSIFIED, and organisations that need it obtain it through their national standardization authority.
What it is
STANAG 2515 is the NATO Standardization Agreement on collective protection in a chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear environment (COLPRO), covering the publication ATP-70. Edition 3 (ATP-70 Edition B) was promulgated on 29 August 2023, sponsored by MC, MCJSB, JCBRND CDG. NATO has not released STANAG 2515 publicly, so this page describes it from public NATO publications that cite it.
Where it is cited
AAMedP-1.8 sets out a part of a training syllabus covering the principles of COLPRO and its contamination control area (CCA), the design and mode of use of national COLPRO and CCA, the principles of personal decontamination, and instruction in and practice of donning, doffing and decontamination procedures for aircrew CBRN assemblies in the COLPRO CCA. It ties that part to an earlier edition, ATP-70 Edition A: "To enhance interoperability, this part of the syllabus shall incorporate the relevant procedures given in STANAG 2515", and this should include, at a minimum, "the usual layout used for a CCA inside NATO COLPRO facilities as well as familiarization with aircrew CCA procedures and aircrew CCA pictograms."
AAMedP-1.8's record of specific reservations includes a national one from France that refers to this agreement: "Paragraph A-5: STANAG 2515 will be implemented in accordance with the reservation made upon its ratification." That is a French national qualification, not the content of the agreement itself.
ATrainP-1 names the previous edition, STANAG 2515 Edition 2 (ATP-70 Edition A), in a list that also includes STANAG 2499 on the effect of wearing CBRN individual protective equipment and STANAG 2520 on CBRN defence standards for education, training and evaluation.
