What it is
STANAG 2921 is NATO's agreement on weapon danger zones for land launched guided missiles, for use by NATO forces operating in a ground environment. Edition 2 was promulgated on 10 July 1997, sponsored by MC, MCLSB, NRS, DSP. NATO has not released STANAG 2921 publicly, so this page describes it from the Czech implementation's index entry.
What the Czech implementation covers
The Czech defence standards index lists ČOS 144001 as the Czech implementation of STANAG 2921 edition 2. Its index description states that the standard sets out methods used within the armed forces of NATO member states to determine the areas endangered by guided missiles launched from ground launching systems, including methods for evaluating the risks associated with them.
Where it is cited
Several public NATO publications, AAS3P-10, AAS3P-11, AAS3P-12, AAS3P-20 and AAS3P-22, list STANAG 2921 in the cross-reference tables in their annexes. In each it appears on the Weapon Danger Area line (Weapon Danger Area / Zone in AAS3P-22), next to other references for the same subject such as ARSP-1, ARSP-2 and ITOP 05-2-505.
