STANAG 3635 is the NATO agreement on aircraft stores suspension units with gravity release capability. Edition 4 was promulgated in February 1996 under NATO's CNAD, AC/224 NAFAG, ACG2, AASG. NATO has not released STANAG 3635 publicly, so this page describes it from the Czech defence standards index entry for ČOS 156003, the Czech standard that implements it.
What the Czech implementation covers
The Czech defence standards index describes ČOS 156003 as setting out the connection and design criteria for locks fitted to aircraft for suspending stores intended for release by gravity. The locks it covers have a 14 inch and 30 inch spacing, and are intended to suspend and release (jettison), by gravitational force, stores of class 500 kg (1,000 lb) and 1,000 kg (2,000 lb). The index entry also states, as a national statement of scope rather than part of the interoperability content, that the Czech standard is intended for customers and suppliers of products and services for the defence of the state within the meaning of Czech Act No. 309/2000 Coll.
