STANAG 4701
CBRN defence and medical units, and the contractors supporting them, who need to know what AEP-66 covers.
STANAG 4701 is the NATO agreement covering AEP-66, the handbook for sampling and identifying biological, chemical and radiological agents (SIBCRA). NATO has not released it publicly; this page describes it from a NATO medical publication that cites and summarises it.
NATO has not released this STANAG publicly. It is NATO UNCLASSIFIED, and organisations that need it obtain it through their national standardization authority.
STANAG 4701 is the NATO agreement covering AEP-66, the NATO Handbook for Sampling and Identification of Biological, Chemical and Radiological Agents, known as SIBCRA. Edition 1 was promulgated in April 2015, sponsored by CNAD, AC/225 NAAG, JCBRND CDG.
NATO has not released STANAG 4701 publicly, so this page describes it from AMedP-7.6, NATO's commander's guide on medical support to CBRN defensive operations, which cites and summarises AEP-66 rather than reproducing it.
AMedP-7.6 states that AEP-66 "provides procedural guidance for the sampling and identifying biological, chemical, and radiological agents in support of NATO operations." It adds that, as described in AEP-66, SIBCRA has two purposes, one of which is to provide operational commanders with the information needed to support decisions on protection. AMedP-7.6 also lists STANAG 4701 among its references, as the handbook for the sampling and identification of biological, chemical and radiological warfare agents. AEP-66 is also named, without further description, among the CBRN and medical reference publications listed in AJMedP-7, NATO's allied joint medical doctrine for support to CBRN defensive operations.

The EDF consortium rule is usually quoted as three entities from three Member States. It has a second limb about control that the word independent quietly hides, and two exceptions that disapply it entirely.
